Grand Temple Festival with Folk Music – Krishnagiri District Vinayagar Temple Kumbabhishekam Celebration

We are happy to introduce a special customary event of Periyakottai Palli Anjal Periya Thakka Palli Krishnagiri Taluk Krishnagiri District.
An old Vinayagar Temple in this village has been refurbished in great style and reconstructed with the good wishes of the locals and the village god. The whole village attended devotionally and as one on the Kumbabhishekam (holy consecration) on the auspicious day of Ayudha Pooja.
The Paalkudam (milk pot) procession was one of the main events of this religious event as people took milk pots as a form of worship towards Lord Vinayagar. The air was both energetic, joyful, and full of divine rhythm when the traditional Pambai folk music followed the procession and brought the spirit of a soulful atmosphere of the Tamil culture and spirituality.
